Project Summary and Feedback

Kalamak Noory (Your Word is My Light), was created especially for young people, with daily competitions, and prizes to encourage Bible reading.  We keep adding new questions, to cover every chapter in the NT, and various books in the OT.  By the end of 2023, there were 1,086,344 Bible Quiz questions answered since we launched the Android/iOS app in 2021.

A new feature, “Communities and Groups" was used at the Cairo International Book Fair in January 2024 for an on-site competition with daily winners and prizes. Our goal was to draw attention to all our free digital products, encouraging Bookfair visitors to download our various Apps and engage with the Bible.  

A big countdown timer promoted a daily competition there at our booth, with a big screen showing live results as participants answered questions after reading specific passages. The top three winners received vouchers to use for our products.  

Our “Digital Agents” (Computer Science student volunteers) were circulating constantly, encouraging and helping people download our Bible Apps and learn how to use them, explaining all the wonderful features available. 

We had planned to start with one competition a day but had to do 3 times per day, as people were so interested. Even those who have never read the Bible before were downloading the App and giving it a go!
