Project Summary and
Feedback
Each summer we produce a new activity booklet designed to encourage systematic Bible Study of a specific book or topic, challenging thousands of primary students, age 9-12, to read God's Word. The churches follow-up and the Sunday School teachers grade the booklets and the Bible Society provides valuable Scripture prizes for the top 8%. The Bible Society also works with the churches to create Quiz show competitions based on the booklet. This is an important motivational factor. These events also include music and drama, extra prizes for the competition winners and small Scripture gifts for everyone.
Mariam said “I have 2 children, in 5th and 6th grade, who are doing the children’s Bible Study workbooks. We sit together and do the study together and all help each other. We encourage each other. We usually do it before we go to sleep in the evenings. I am glad to do this with my girls.”
A young mother shared, “I was not attending church and I didn’t read my Bible. Fr. Mousa encouraged me by giving me the Bible and a Competition booklet, and told me to come, and I was immediately hooked! When I finished the booklet, I immediately started the next, always begging for the next competition. Of course, I did all of the Think and Play competition booklets that were for the Sunday-School kids!”
