Playing Soccer and Reading My Bible

Bishoy, age 9, said, “For 45 days I studied Matthew, very hard, and look what I won, a beautiful Illustrated Bible that all my family will read together, and an orange football. My mom and my Sunday school teachers helped me work through the booklet. It was my 1st time to read all of Matthew. I did not like reading and answering questions and activities in the booklet at the beginning, but now I love it.  I would like to study the Gospels of Mark, Luke and John now.  I like it all:  the stories, the miracles, everything.  But two things were difficult for me:  first, to turn the other cheek, and second, the cross of Jesus. But I learnt a lot. Most of my summer I spent playing with my friends, but we also had a fun time answering the Matthew booklet.   Now I love playing soccer and reading my Bible.”
