Mary and Amira study Matthew

This was the first time for Mary to read a whole book of the Bible, using the “Think and Play” Summer Competition Workbook.  Mary especially enjoyed studying the genealogy of Jesus, and she recited 13 names of her fathers, listing off her own genealogy. Mary said that she has learned to watch her words, because this is like the fruits of the tree mentioned in Matthew 12:33.  Her friend Amira liked the story in Matt 26 of how Mary poured the expensive perfume on Jesus which shows what is most valuable to her.  And she asked for prayer, because sometimes things in her life are more valuable to her than Jesus.
